Friends and Movie

I met 2 of my frnds Ashish (khargosh) and Angam (pandu) all because of the BITS test they had selected Indore as the center i was lucky enough to meet Ashish as i didn't knew what date he had selected and call it some coincidence or nething else both of us selected the same dates and same time slot was happy for seeing him after a long time. well abt angam he selected the slot of today so met him got info abt a hell lot of ppl from both of them. I was really happy but ne way both of them went away. I also visited my school DC after a long time didn't saw much change lovely as ever but then all of my memories started coming back like "Bhramputra", Nikets habbit, the fun we had in group, Kanta (a teachers name he he), Famous Sneezes, and all my frndz mischiefs, etc. But Life goes on and on and on and u r left only with memories and more memories which u will cherish life long ne way getting back to normal. India is really playing GREAT at this time against west indies see urself
Yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaa i am watching the live cricket commentary he he its kind of fun but neway m thinking West Indies will not make more then 200 whatever happens and here is Pandu aka Angam

Protest against reservation in Pune on 21 May

Let us stand with our doctor friends who are protesting against Quota policy in different states and all over country. We will have peaceful march from University circle to Corporation circle on 21st of May at 10 AM. These are the pics of what happned with the ppl who protested against RESERVATIONS. What does the Police thinks they are handeling they are just students not the protesters of the oposition party even those would have been treated like this. Playing with the lives of people thats all there politicans know. well the meaning of POLITICS is POLI:- many TICKS:- blood sucking creaters and they are living up to that. I think this is just the begning of which can become a nation wide protest allready it has started at these places and woud soon spread to other parts of the countery
Accesing NTFS and FAT32 partiton on Ubuntu

Please follow these at your own risk
NTFS and FAT32 are the partitions used by windows to access them from UBUNTU follow these For NTFS just type open terminal and type
sudo fdisk -l
then see which partition is of NTFS (i am taking it as /dev/hda1) then to mount it to /media/windows type
sudo mkdir /media/windows
sudo cp /etc/fstab /etc/fsab_backup
sudo gedit /etc/fstab
add the following at the end of the file
/dev/hda1 /media/windows ntfs nls=utf8,umask=0222 0 0
save the file then in terminal type
sudo mount -a
For FAT32 partition
repeat the above and just add
/dev/hda1 /media/windows vfat iocharset=utf8,umask=000 0 0
in the file
Make sure u name the folders differently for FAT32 and NTFS and also change the text to be copied accordingly NJOI
Playing mp3 on UBUNTU

It’s usual to find many distributions without MP3 support due to licensing issues. If you have MP3 files and don’t know how to play them do the following:
- Open the terminal
- Type sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
- Remove comments to packages (This is erasing the # characters in lines starting with ##deb)
- Save changes and close gedit
- Update the packages sudo apt-get update
- Install the mulitmedia codecs:
sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.8-plugins
sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.8-lame
sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.8-ffmpeg
sudo apt-get install w32codecs
sudo apt-get install libdivx4linux
sudo apt-get install lame
sudo apt-get install sox
sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
sudo apt-get install mjpegtools
sudo apt-get install vorbis-tools
gst-register-0.8
Now you can open a player like Rythmbox or Kaffeine and start listening songs.

UBUNTU has really made my life easier i have found almost all replacement for windows like IMs using GAIM feels bit odd but still and i appreciate SKYPE for providing a Linux version. Hey dont expect me to become geek and offer a review of UBUNTU. Well i am geting some pics from Ankan and will be regularly puting them on flickr
